Different Kinds of Luxury Watches

In today's world, the watch is not a simple apparatus that indicates or measures time. Today, the watch is an indication of status. Luxury watches combine highest levels of precision and quality with illustrious brand names. Expensive materials make up the watches: gold, platinum, and an array of crystals. Major brands like, Cartier, Breitling, Tag and many others propose the most outrageous luxury watches. Of course, the prices are far from the common store prices. Some masterpieces run into the thousands of dollars, even at discounted prices. Yet, even with their exorbitant prices, these watches find their market easily, so unique is their design and so popular is their brand name.

Watches Brands

Dive Watch

This is one of the most illustrious brand names for watches in the world. Adhering to stringent principles of precision movement, robustness, reliability, and long-term high performance, it has acquired a reputation for the quality of its watches. Through persistent innovation, it has come up with wonderful products such as the Cerachrom disc, an extremely hard ceramic used as bezel which is corrosion-resistant and scratch-proof. this type of Datejust Watches have been the first to display the date through an aperture in the dial. These marvelous and timeless pieces are still being manufactured today, with very few modifications, showing their tremendous popularity.

Cartier Watches

The "Jeweler of Kings and the Kings of Jewelers" still make some of the most timeless time pieces ever. Cartier has a strong history and tradition of watch making dating back to 1904. All of Cartier's creations have the same finesse which accompanied their world-famous jewels. For example, the Tank Francaise Series is a historical collection by itself. Created in honor of the allied tanks of World War I, it is one of the most refined watches that one can come across. The elegantly colored dials (gold, silver, raspberry) depict the Cartier design. Roman numerals adorn the dial which is visible through a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Cartier calls its watches the "haute horlogerie" (high-class watch making). Another example of this is the Pasha Collection. The "Miss Pasha", for example, is made of blue-tinted stainless steel. The dial is rose-colored with Arabic numerals.

Breitling Watches

When one talks of Swiss watch making, the name of Breitling immediately jumps to mind. Breitling has now over 200 years of history behind it. Founded in 1884, in the heart of Switzerland, the company is world famous for its Bentley Collection, among others. Breitling watches are now considered to be a status symbol. The Bentley Collection has chronographs that outclass many of its so-called competitors. The Bentley Mark VI (named after the prestigious automobile), for example, has a round stainless steel case. The platinum bezel houses the dial which can be blue, golden, silver, white or black. The strap is made of crocodile leather. The crystal is made of scratch resistant and anti-reflective sapphire. The Aeromarine is one the newest collections by Breitling. Intended for flying as well as diving, it has a water-resistance of 1000 to 1500 m.
