Zodiac Watches

Zodiac watches offer a gorgeous display, accuracy to the top level and they are well known and respected watches in the industry. Zodiac watches date back to 1882, manufacture them some of the oldest designed watches still in existence today. Ariste Calame first set up his workshop in 1882, and his goal at the time was to specialize in watches that would offer something beneficial and unique to the industry. These Swiss made watches would do much more. Soon, they became known as Zodiac watches.

In the timeframe between 1908 - 1930, Ariste Calame will patent his Zodiac brand. But, while this timeframe, no wristwatches themselves were created. Rather, the enterprise was used to constructor calibers and movements. Those elements where then used to furnish pocket watches. The first pocket watch offered by the Zodiac line was offered in 1924, and it had caliber 1617 movements within it. It was an extra flat pocket watch, which it gained fame for. In 1930, the Zodiac watch enterprise would patent a formula of shock proofing that used a z shaped spring clip that fit over the balance. And, in this year, the first of its Swiss automatic watches was launched.

In 1932, Zodiac watches launches someone else watch, this time its first Swiss analog quartz watch. It would include the paramount beta 21 calibre in it. Five years later, a new watch innovation was offered by Zodiac. That was the 10.5 Ligne and 8 day wristwatch movement. The Basel Watch Fair, a very prestigious event that all watch makers took pride in, was the kick off place of Zodiac's Astrograhic watch, in 1949. This was a self winding watch that has the potential to support gauge measuring hours of power. The Zodiac model was one of two that had the potential to support range like this at that time.

In 1953, the enterprise looked for other ways to organize and result the trends (if not setting them.) In this year, they launched the Sea Wolf, which was the first diver's watch that offers serious results. It was the first diver's watch to be manufactured for the general population, too. The Super Sea Wolf would be a later edition of this watch and would be able to handle water pressure has at 750 meters.

In the 1960's, the Zodiac watch line added a 24 hour Gmt hand to the Sea World watch and it also introduced its most recent line of fashionable and functional watches: the aerospace. The Aerospace Jet was introduced in 1962 and was very unique: it had 24 hands that only traversed the dial one time every 24 hours. The enterprise also produced the first Swiss electronic watch called the Dynotron in 1968. In 1970, the first Swiss analog quartz watch would be launched by Zodiac called the Beta 21 Calibre, which would come to be a paramount watch line for years to come.

In the 1970's and 1980's Zodiac watches prolonged to astound. The enterprise introduced the first Lcd watches and obtained the chronometer certificate. Later, in 2004, the vintage inspired watches were re-launched, including the Sea Dragon and V World that were some of the most vintage in style, but they added contemporary touches to them. Today, the Zodiac watch line continues to offer new and spirited innovation with each publish of a watch collection.
